We are AFFIRMING!

On February 18, 2024 the First United Church of Prince Rupert became officially Affirming. 
During the Sunday Service, Jim Martin presented the Affirming certificate signed by Affirm United to our Worship Committee Chair, Victoria Des Champs. 
To commemorate the occasion, Trish Banighen donated a lovely rainbow piano tapestry she had made to be displayed in the Sanctuary. Robyn Martin and Sandra Gray also displayed information pertaining to LGBTQIA2S+ language, and what it means to be an Affirming Ministry on the bulletin boards in the entrance and the hall.
